If you’ve noticed a pattern in my blogging style, it’s that almost every post is about something that happened at least a month ago…haha yup. That’s what makes this space so great! I’m not on a deadline and nobody is really judging (or reading for that matter).
So anyway, here’s a post that beats all the others to the punch. That’s right, I’m throwing it back to March 2015! Because Puerto Rico is where my mind drifts off to when I’m (sometimes) daydreaming at work.
It’s one of the most beautiful islands that I’ve had the pleasure of visiting, and I, along with three friends from college, had such an amazing time there on spring break—AWAY from the drudgery of studying. So to any rising seniors out there, put San Juan on your list of potential spring break destinations. You won’t regret it.

Stunning view…of the other hotel.
MOFONGO!
(Because I didn’t ask them if I could post these.)
Ending the night with a—wait for it—splash!

Dinner at Greengos Caribbean Cantina
By far, the most action-packed day of our trip.
Road. Trippin’.
Enter, Luquillo.
Aromas Coffee & Crepes
Off to Fajardo!
Nighttime kayaking in the bioluminescent bay.
This one is a must! Paddling (a.k.a. pushing the boat with our asses) through the mangrove channels to Laguna Grande was both terrifying and fascinating. IMO, the coolest experience of the entire trip.
Kicked off the morning with breakfast by the pool and enjoyed the amenities of our hotel…
In my natural habitat.
Then, we decided to sneak in check out the neighboring Caribe Hilton…
Hammocks everywhere.
For our last night on the town, we devoured seafood at La Cueva del Mar.
And salsa danced with the nicest strangers!
The Mezzanine at St. Germain
Although partying was not the focus of our trip, nightlife was a bit lackluster in Old San Juan.
(Apparently, hotels are where the parties are at…so that’s probably why!)
Last lunch!
In the end, Puerto Rico is so much more than nightlife, and you will find plenty of ways to have a good time. PR is definitely a contender for your spring break destinations list!
